An amazing flat right in the centre of Fontainebleau! 7 minute walk to the palace and around 20 minute walk to INSEAD. Has some fantastic pieces of interior and a telescope 🙂 Overall, I’m very happy with this flat!

Gerard was an outstanding host! We communicated several times prior to our arrival and then on the day that we arrived he generously met us at the train station, loaded our luggage into his car, gave us a quick tour of the town, and then drove us to his apartment and helped us settle in.
The apartment was perfectly located downtown– a short walk to the outdoor market (on Tues, Fri, and Sunday) and a 20 minute walk to the campus of INSEAD.
The apartment had big windows and lots of natural light from a terrace. It was perfectly furnished for one or two people.
At the end of our week long stay, Gerard returned and kindly drove us back to the Fontainebleau Train Station where we took a train to Paris.
I would recommend Gerard’s apartment for anyone visiting Fontainebleau who prefers to stay in an accommodation with a kitchen (rather than a hotel). I was participating in a conference at INSEAD, and while Gerard’s apartment was not close to campus, it was just a 10 minute taxi ride (for 16 Euros) or a 20-25 minute walk.
All in all it was a great stay, thanks to Gerard’s hospitality.

I stayed at Gerard’s flat during a conference in Fontainebleau early September 2012. Gerard is a wonderful host that went to great lengths to help me out with travel logistics and making my stay enjoyable.
The flat itself is very spacious and charming. The main living room is bright and airy, with a high ceiling and doors out to the gorgeous (and huge!) balcony. The kitchen is equipped with all the basic utilities one would expect and there is superb wifi at hand. Overall, I would strongly recommend this option for anyone visiting Fontainebleau!
